Sunday, February 16, 2014. 11:30am until 1:30pm
Sunday, February 16th is the Windy City Chapter cook off at Illinois Harley Davidson in Countryside. The food item is anything Mexican. For example enchiladas, tacos, nachos, tamales, beans, rice….the list goes on!
This is not your ordinary cook off, all members of the Windy City H.O.G. Chapters are invited to submit a dish on behalf of their chapter. Which chapter has the best cook? This cook off is not only for bragging rights, but also a time to gather and have some fun. So, even if you are not entering a dish, please stop by and sample some dishes, and cast your vote for the best. Family and friends welcome to sample and vote.
DATE, TIME & PLACE:
Sunday, February 16th
11:30 AM (ENTRANTS) 12 -1:30 PM (JUDGING)
Illinois Harley Davidson, 9950 Joliet Rd, Countryside Illinois
Please be prepared to serve your dish to the masses. Illinois H-D will provide: Electricity, Spoons, Plates/Cups, & Beverages.
You will be responsible for:
BRINGING YOUR DISH:
Please have your dish prepared “ready to serve” by 11:30am. Bring a minimum to serve sample sizes to 50 people. Bring the dish in an electric Crock Pot. (Remember the more you bring the more people you can serve. This will increase the number of votes you will receive.) Also, bring the recipe. We may put together a cook book or make them available electronically.
ALL CONDIMENTS FOR YOUR DISH:
If your dish needs grated cheese, scallions, sour cream, salt, pepper you are responsible for providing all condiments (Remember; people like extras, having condiments greatly increases your dish’s appeal & will result in more votes).
You made a great dish, but you have to serve it up. Please bring a ladle or big spoon so people can actually eat your dish. The health department won’t let us use our hands or the tech’s tools to serve your dish.
CALL Linda at 630-251-5635 OR SEND AN E-MAIL TO Linda.Barnes241@att.net
